Was used for University studies. This old Pavilion was really struggling with Windows 10 on it even after being factory reset. After multiple OS install tries of Linux. I found one that was nice and light weight that would run on this system. Whole new computer. The battery life improved greatly using POP OS on this
Was running Windows 10 which is no longer being supported by Microsoft. The Thinkpads are known for being pretty good Linux machines so I threw a copy of Linux Mint (One of the most popular and supported distros) on it. Works and brought a wave of new live into this older unit.
Factory reset with clean install of Windows 11 Pro* Good little Chromebook that was used for University studies as well and lightweight office tasks.
Unfortunately not all projects come back repairable... This Elegoo 3D printer had a pretty servere clog that overheated the printer head and fried the motherboard. At the end of the day it was great to be able to give my client closure about what had happened and was able to help determine that it made more sense to just replace the printer or upgrade for how much parts were going to cost.
